Host Paul Booth interviews Victoria Negri (Producer) and Cath Gulick (writer/director) about their film The Fever and the Fret.
"...A moving story about a teenager trying to escape her troubled life."
WAMS: Imagine I’m a member of the audience. Why should I watch this film?
Cath Gulick: Come watch this film if you love gritty, depressing, tear-filled virtuoso acting and films whose sense of reality is sort of slightly left of center.
Cath Gulick: “Don't get mad, get certified as mentally incompetent for your trial.”
Victoria Negri: What surprises you most as a filmmaker about people’s reactions to your film?
Cath Gulick: I was pretty surprised that people didn’t watch my film and think, “Wow, this movie is one of the best things ever made and this woman is a genius.”
Review Fix: What was the inspiration for your film?
Cath Gulick: I wanted to make a fairy tale but those are expensive. I wondered if the descent into madness might be cheaper.
